HOW TO CLEAN PROPERLY YOUR JEWELRY & GEMSTONES

All jewelry and gemstones need to be handled with care and some precautions should be taken like avoiding abrasion by other jewelry and most important avoid wearing whilst doing housework or any other activity during which damage could occur.

The safest way to clean the metal of our jewelry is to rub them with a soft cloth dipped in warm water.
Gold may also tarnish as it is not pure gold. The lower the carat of the jewelry, the more likely is to tarnish.
The best way to remove the tarnish from our silver jewelry is to rub the silver with a soft, moist cloth and baking soda.
Toothpast and silver polish pastes can also remove tarnish but they are more abrasive than baking soda.

Gemstones are best cleaned using a soft dampcloth or mild soapy water and a soft brush in a plastic container, not an open sink.

  • Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods like sunbathing on the beach.

  • Avoid contact with perfumes, hair spray, make up,solvents such as nail polish remover(this is an advice that we give
to all our customers especially the ladies, carefull with your jewelry).
Even our favorite diamonds, the hardest material on earth should be wore with care. Although it's hard if knocked in the wrong direction it can fracture so avoid sharp knocks. As you may know already diamonds attract grease so avoid applying hand cream or soaps whilst wearing.
Delicate pearls and corals may be damaged even from mild acids as the vinegar in a salad even skin contact can bring changes over many years.
Last but not least we suggest that when dressing or undressing jewelry should be last on, first off.
